We had a phenomenal meal at Freestyle! The service from Danny and Carlos was exceptional. Can’t wait to be back.
I recently hosted my son's first birthday at Freestyle Social Club, and I can confidently say that the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, Chad and his team provided impeccable service that truly made our event memorable. Every detail was handled seamlessly, allowing us to focus on enjoying the occasion rather than worrying about logistics. The staff was attentive and genuinely committed to ensuring that everything went perfectly. They went above and beyond, anticipating our needs and making thoughtful suggestions that enhanced the overall experience. If you're looking for a venue that offers both a vibrant atmosphere and exceptional service, look no further than Freestyle Social Club.
I cannot express just how magnificent the Freestyle Burger is… a burger with so much beef forward flavour not disguised by its toppings. I was surprised and delighted. If you find yourself at this little paradise oasis in the heart of Calgary… do yourself a favour… get the burger. That is all.
Was told by our server that our pool fee was waived off of our bill (as per his own initiative - we did not ask for it). My group left 100% tips as we appreciated the gesture, and wanted to compensate. Was told when we were leaving we would be brought another bill (as we had already settled) with the fee on it. Very questionable service practices as a customer you can expect that an employee telling you something should be honoured. The standards here are low and seems to be questionable in integrity as a way to get a higher tip.
Great food and vibes - big thanks to Jerwin, Chad and Maya for awesome service all weekend for our large group!

The venue, food and drinks were all very nice. It's a good spot for date night with a small group. The restaurant has games to play and the pool side has fire places, can sit at pool side for an additional fee. We sat in the restaurant for the evening to accommodate a party of people. There was only a small selection for food but I was happy with the quality. The biggest downside was going with a group and how you're party gets billed was really disappointing. I really don't recommend large parties here because the venues policy was changed once we were squaring up the bill, they got greedy unfortunately. My friend was told there's a fee for $10 per person that does not show up to the party, we had 12 people there and 6 didn't end up coming. They ended up charging my friend and extra $20 per person instead of $10. The restaurant was relatively empty that evening so I guess they wanted an easy couple extra dollars despite being attached to Hotel Arts. They also do not split the bill and give you separate bills. At the end of the night we had to wait around half an hour for the waiter to figure out how to charge us all our portion of the bill manually lol. I could see that our entire bill was close to $700, so the extra on the no show fee is ridiculous. We had a friend who had to leave earlier and they also told her she couldn't pay until everyone pays. So my friend also had to pay for the person who needed to leave early at the end as well. It kind of killed the experience to have to wait on separating a bill like that and see my friend get robbed by an establishment. Don't book parties here or you might face having to pay out more than expected is all.
