When I joined a few months ago, my handicap was in the low 20s but my scores were wildly inconsistent (low 90s to close to 110). My back was also sore for days after a round. I embraced Scott’s math/physics-based methodology (even when I didn’t full believe it would work) and saw my scores steadily improve. My handicap is down to 18, I just played 3 rounds in 4 days on vacation, and golf is a lot more fun now that I’m playing the game with intent rather than trying to hit the ball. Scott believes in what he teaches and it has helped my mindset, my mechanics, and my practice efficiency. He’s also been extremely helpful with equipment, recommending several used options to look out for and even searching eBay himself to find me a listing, rather than encouraging players to chase the latest/greatest/most expensive gear, or anything that he’s selling. That said, if you need your clubs modified, he has all the tools to do it (and barely charges for labor compared to anywhere else in NYC.) Sswing is unlike any golf facility I’ve ever seen. It’s not dependent on frequent, expensive lessons or complicated techniques. It’s based on simple math and intentional practice. If you’re serious about improving your golf game, turn off YouTube and give Sswing a chance.
Like many other reviews have pointed out, the owner is consistently rude and unprofessional. His repeated, incorrect use of the word ‘WOKE’ in negative reviews is nothing more than a racist dog whistle. That alone calls into question the ethics of how this business is run. Do not spend your money here. It’s not worth it and it’s not a welcoming place in any capacity.
Attendant is rude and unwelcome upon entering. Creates a negative atmosphere, go to a different simulator space.
So happy to be back at SSWING after pausing my membership over the winter. Since i work in midtown, I've found there is no better way to ramp up for the season or keep myself in tune during the summer than by popping in here as my schedule allows. I can work ok my putting, chipping or full swing here - which allows me to focus on whatever part of my game has abandoned me over the prior weekend round LOL! Over the past 2 years I have taken lessons with Scotty and learned a ton about swing dynamics (and my lack thereof), he is generous w/ his advice and has built a great facility. The result is that my perpetual inability to break 90 has turned into consistent mid 80's scores. Hoping for more progress this summer...
Considering the seasonality of this business model, the influx of more sim golf in the city, and the lack of soft skills of owner. Will be underwater soon. Good luck

Best place to learn and practice your golf game as well as build strength and mobility through individual or group fitness training. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in golf, across all ages and experience! Scotty is a great instructor! Sean knows so much about physical therapy/fitness to get you playing your best!
