CaddyShack is a family-run pub on West Prairie Avenue in Coeur d'Alene that was built around indoor virtual golf. It opened on Groundhog Day 1998, the fourth generation of a local small-business family. It says it was the first to bring indoor virtual golf to North Idaho, and the long winters and the number of golfers in the area were the reason. The golf theme still runs through the place, down to a collection of nearly 500 golf towels from every state and many countries. The simulators are the original draw. The food has grown around them, from panini in a tiny kitchen to a full menu of fish
